About Jared Lees

I have always loved good cinema, and as a kid I loved drawing and reading comic books. I was always taking photos with little disposable cameras and using the images to create stories with my friends. In high school I studied photography, and loved spending time in the dark room processing my black and white film.

Later in life I started my Bladesmithing business, and got back into photography to document the process, and improve my product photos. My obsession with this art form quickly came and I found myself carrying my camera every I went. Whether it was to the park with my kids, the grocery store, gigs, hikes, BBQ with friends and family… Wherever! I actually joke that it’s my emotional support camera.

But as my love for photography came back, I wanted to find ways to use it to help others, and now I use the skills I’ve developed and my artistic eye to create stunning images and video for fashion designers, models, businesses, events, and concerts.

Cinematic Photography and Video Services

Cinematic photos elevate your brand, business, or event by creating unforgettable characters and scenes—each image crafted with dramatic lighting, intentional composition, and a narrative mood that conveys emotion, and a distinctive identity; the result is imagery that grabs attention, builds trust, and creates a memorable visual story that sets you apart in marketing, press, and social media. Video we all know is essential in todays market, and I have honed my skills in that area as well. I book session for either photo or video individually, or offer savings if you book a hybrid session or multi day shoot.

Gear

I primarily shoot Leica M Series cameras and focus on quality over quantity. The process of focusing manually, and not wading through miles of complicated menus helps me to connect with my subject more, and takes me back to my film days.
